The information system on geo-hydrological catastrophes (SICI - Sistema Informativo sulle Catastrofi Idrogeologiche) was designed and implemented by the Gruppo Nazionale per la Difesa dalla Catastrofi Idrogeologiche (GNDCI), of the Italian National Research Council (CNR - Consiglio Nazionale delle ricerche). It disseminates data and information on landslides, floods, draughts, and related catastrophic events in Italy.

Data and information are stored in different databases. Some of the databases were prepared and are maintained by CNR-GNDCI, others were made available by other Organizations.
